Established 1914
A presbytery consisting of the Rev. A. R. Richardson, the Rev. S. A. McDaniel, and deacons G. W. Bland and A. M. Kitchens established a Missionary Baptist Church at the Kingery School House on July 15, 1914. Rev. S. A. McDaniel preached the first sermon.
Regular meetings in this new church were held on the first Sunday of each month and the preceding Saturday. At the first called conference the main order of business was to call a pastor. Brother A. M. Kitchens was elected; however as he was only a deacon at the time the members of Pine Grove asked the Portal Baptist Church to ordain Bro. Kitchens so that he might accept the call.
Through the years Pine Grove has seen much growth physically within & around the building and grounds as well as spiritually within the hearts of God's people. We hope you will come visit us soon.
